This is a hearing protection device. It helps reduce exposure to hazardous noise; it does not block all sound and cannot prevent hearing loss on its own.

• Certification: AS/NZS 1270:2002 — SLC80 26.0 dB, Class 5. Also tested to ANSI S3.19-1974.
• Ratings are achieved in laboratory testing with the original cushions fitted and a correct, complete seal. Actual protection is usually lower and depends on fit and consistent use.
• Wear at all times while exposed to noise. Ensure nothing breaks the cushion seal (glasses arms, hats, hair, PPE straps).
• Select a protector rated adequately for your noise environment and derate in accordance with the regulations that apply to your workplace.
• Inspect and replace cushions and worn parts regularly.

The certified attenuation of Mufftech earmuffs (AS/NZS 1270:2002 SLC80 26.0 dB, Class 5; ANSI S3.19-1974) is measured with the original ear cushions supplied with the earmuffs. These ratings apply only to the earmuffs in that original, as-tested configuration.

These replacement/upgrade cushions are designed for comfort and fit. Changing the ear cushions alters the seal, clamping pressure and acoustic properties of the earmuff, and the noise reduction you receive may differ from the published rating and has not been separately certified in this configuration.

If you use these cushions in a workplace or any environment where a specific level of hearing protection is legally required, you are responsible for confirming the protection is adequate for your noise exposure. We recommend a fit test and review by a qualified safety professional before relying on these cushions for hazardous-noise protection. When precise certified attenuation is required, use the original cushions supplied with the earmuffs.

To the extent permitted by law, Mufftech accepts no liability for any reduction in hearing protection resulting from the use of replacement or aftermarket cushions. This does not affect consumer guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded.
