It all started with a dream to create hearing protection that sounds good.

As an avid music lover and fully licenced carpenter that has worked in and around the construction industry for over 10 years, I had spent years in comprise between the hearing protection that I needed on the job and having access to the tech behind sound that just sounds better.

Like many other tradies in the construction and building industry, and those who need to protect their hearing on the job, I had tried countless pairs of Bluetooth earmuffs looking for the perfect mix of quality, safety and design. Too often was I faced with trade-offs between the three – too bulky for headgear, but with reasonable sound… or well-fitting, but limited accessibility for calls or poor quality audio… even simply those that were not robust enough to take on the job. There just didn’t seem to be a pair that had the perfect mix.

Being able to access not only the hearing protection I needed, but also high quality audio and seamless connectivity that enhanced the overall experience of my day, was something that I knew had to be possible. So this is where the dream of creating hearing protection that sounded good started and the journey of Mufftech began.
